In 1996, the Peschel & Golser OEG was founded by Brigitte Credner-Forstinger, formerly Peschel, and Alexander Golser in the cellar of Mrs. Credner-Forstinger’s house.
Thomas Peschel-Credner joined our team in 1998. Initially, our focus was on merchandise, but we soon realized that we needed to develop further to set ourselves apart from others.

In 2000, we changed our concept and began to market our entire product range under our own brand VIENNA WORLD …all about music…. Mr. Peschel-Credner became an authorized signatory of the company in 2016 and took over sole management at the beginning of 2019. VIENNA WORLD is now expanding into over 72 countries.

After a turbulent 2020 and 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic, in 2023 we set ourselves the goal of realigning the majority of our products and giving VIENNA WORLD a more ecological focus. We are increasingly replacing plastic products with cotton or recycled PVC and switching to ecological packaging without varnishes or environmentally harmful printing.

Transport routes from Asia are also increasingly being shifted from ship to rail, and our parcel services are focusing on more sustainable, CO2-free delivery routes. The introduction of a new merchandise management system and our new online presence allow us to look to the future with optimism. Our mission is to operate and produce sustainably in an ecologically responsible manner.
